How do I know if I need flood insurance?
Ask us. We'll give you a quote based on your location and other factors including your flood zone. It's a good idea to have flood insurance even if you live in a low or moderate flood zone. Flood insurance is required by law for buildings in high-risk flood zone areas. You won't be able to get a mortgage from a federally regulated or insured lender without it.
What are flood zones?
Flood zones are land areas identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). They are based on the area's risk of flooding.
How do I know if I live in a flood zone?
Everyone lives in a flood zone. They are rated as low, moderate or high-risk areas for floods.
Am I eligible for flood insurance?
Yes, if you live in a community that participates in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
